Giving the Basics

Did you know a lot of basic stuff like toilet paper, toothpaste, and shampoo isn’t covered by traditional assistance programs? Giving the Basics steps in to fill that gap. They’ve teamed up with schools, pantries, police departments, and senior centers to make sure these essentials are available to those who need them, all while making sure everyone’s dignity is respected.

American Heart Association

The American Heart Association’s Leaders of Impact campaign raises money every year to really make a difference in the health of our communities. A lot of us have seen firsthand how tough heart disease can be on people we care about. The money raised by the AHA goes towards groundbreaking research and life-saving initiatives that can change lives.

Wings 4 Water

Wings 4 Water is a local nonprofit focused on tackling the global issue of unclean water. They spice things up every year with a chicken wing competition where you get to chow down and vote for your favorite wings by donating. It’s a tasty way to make a difference!

KC STEM Alliance

KC STEM Alliance brings together educators, businesses, and organizations to spark excitement about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City

Habitat for Humanity is all about boosting the availability of quality, affordable single-family homes. Whether constructing new houses or fixing up existing ones, their goal is to foster strength, stability, and self-reliance by making sure everyone has access to affordable shelter.
